One Life Crew (OLC) was a straight edge, hardcore band originally from
Cleveland, Ohio. Members included "Mean" Steve Murad (Vocals), Blaze
Tishko (guitar), John Lockjaw (bass) and Tony "Chubby Fresh" Pines (drums)
After releasing Crime Ridden Society in 1996, the band was dropped from
Victory Records after the band was involved in a brawl with fans at the
1996 Cleveland Hardcore Fest. Victory's stance, which is one that does not
condone violence — particularly directed towards kids at shows by the
band onstage — reflects the decision to drop OLC from the label. Tony
Brummel had over 1000 postcards printed and mailed out to Victory's
customers, explaining the bands intolerable actions and the label's
consequential decision to drop One Life Crew.
The band's sound was reminiscent of Murad's earlier band, Confront. The
