Benatar was one of the top female rockers of the 1980s to early 1990s. Biography Pat Benatar was born Patricia Mae Andrzejewski (AN-dzhe-YEV-skee) in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, to a Polish/Irish family.
