Paula Dacia DeAnda (born November 3, 1989 in San Angelo, Texas) is an American pop singer-songwriter and actress. She currently resides in Corpus Christi, Texas. Early life Paula DeAnda was born in San Angelo, Texas, and began performing songs by her favorite artists with her cousins at family gatherings. At an early age she started taking piano lessons and singing around town, both as a soloist and as a backup vocalist. Her first public performances included weddings, local parties and other functions in San Angelo. In 2002, DeAnda's family decided to move to Corpus Christi in order to further her career in music. Music career Paula DeAnda's major breakthrough came when she auditioned for Clive Davis and was signed to Arista Records on the spot.
