Powerspace is a four-piece power pop band from Chicago, Illinois. They are
signed to Fueled by Ramen. The band released their debut album, The Kicks
of Passion produced by Marc McClusky, on July 31, 2007.
History The band first began performing while students at Miami
University. Chicago natives and high school friends Tom Schleiter and
Daniel McMahon, who both attended St. Viator High School in Arlington
Heights, IL, began playing together at the university, and soon formed a
trio with fellow Miami student & Green, Ohio drummer Kevin Kane. After a
series of vocalists, another Miami student and high school friend of
Schleiter and McMahon's, Alec Cyganowski, joined the group.[LINK:
