Primer 55 is a alternative metal music group from Memphis, Tennessee. Guitarist Bobby Burns co-founded the band with vocalist Jason "J-Sin" Luttrell. They would then recruit Mike "Jr." Christopher and Josh McLane to complete the line-up. The band would play local venues, slowly gathering a following. In 1999, they released their self titled album through independent label Propellant Transmissions. 2000-2001 Not long after their first release, the band would sign a recording contract with Island Def Jam and release Introduction to Mayhem in 2000.
