Pyramaze is a Danish/American melodic progressive power metal band that was formed in 2001 by guitarist Michael Kammeyer. The first other musicians to join were the Danish duo of drummer Morten Sørensen (formerly of Wuthering Heights), and bassist Niels Kvist. The next to join was American keyboardist Jonah Weingarten, who was originally met by Kammeyer over the internet. The band then set out in search for a singer.
