The Voidoids, also known as Richard Hell and The Voidoids, were a New York
City punk rock band of the late 1970s, fronted by Richard Hell, a former
member of the Neon Boys, Television and the Heartbreakers. The group is
best known for Hell's nihilistic world view, reflected in songs like "Who
Says It's Good to Be Alive?". Their song "Blank Generation" served as an
anthem for the punk movement in New York.
