Roll Deep are a London-based grime crew set up by MC Wiley Kat aka Eskiboy. The crew was formed after Wiley, at that time a member of the Pay As U Go Cartel, recorded a track with a group of local friends and associates from Bow, East London, and they came to be known as Roll Deep. JME's Boy Better Know is a sub-crew and has close ties with the Roll Deep Entourage, releasing mixtapes and preforming with Roll Deep members Skepta and Wiley. Roll Deep, Boy Better Know, Eskibeat Recordings, Roll Deep Recordings and more are part of the Roll Deep empire fronted by Wiley. Their debut album, In at the Deep End, was released in June 2005. Three singles have been released so far from the album, "The Avenue", "When I'm 'Ere" and "Shake a Leg" have received a lot of airplay both on urban radio and urban TV stations.
