Runaway or runaways may mean:
· a runaway youth, a youth who has left his or her home
· a runaway train, a train which cannot be stopped
· a runaway bride, a bride who runs away from her wedding ceremony
· Feedback runaway, a system under positive feedback which becomes
uncontrollable
· a thermal runaway, when an increase in temperature leads to changes that
cause further increase of temperature (this may be a type of feedback
runaway)
