Manga Saiyuki Gunlock while carrying a different name, is based on the Hazel Arc and several other parts of the Saiyuki Reload manga. Currently, the series has 8 volumes. Tokyopop has released in the U.S. the first 7 volumes. Anime The anime has been completed with 26 episodes and it is currently available in the United States on dvd, with all 7 volumes released. Gunlock covers the Hazel Arc of the Saiyuki Reload Manga since half of the Reload anime's story is filler and the later part being the God Arc which is from the first Saiyuki Manga, hence why the production team decided to create a whole new season starting with Reload's manga plot.
