Sarah Louise Whatmore (born 1981 and raised in Walkden,[LINK: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/48/48234_sarahs_surprise.html] [1], [LINK: http://archive.lancashireeveningtelegraph.co.uk/2003/1/1/575380.html] [2], in the City of Salford, England) is a singer best known from the British TV series Pop Idol. She became a contestant on Pop Idol. She made it to the final 50 contestants, and was spotted by 19 Entertainment's Simon Fuller who offered her a management deal. He later signed her to a record deal with RCA Records. Her first single "When I Lost You" reached no.6 in the UK Singles Chart, and her follow-up "Automatic" charted at no.11. As a songwriter she has so far written the single Treat Me Like a Lady for Pop Idol Zoe Birkett Sarah is set to release her debut album 'Own Designs' in 2008. Discography
