Shane Anthony Wiebe was a contestant on the second season of Canadian Idol. He made it to the Top 5 of the competition before being eliminated. Zack Werner, the "mean" judge on Canadian Idol, said Shane could sing the phone book and it would still be great. In the mansion with the other finalists, he was acting like the "mom", showing them how to cook. He is still the only contestant to forget his lyrics on stage in the top 10. While he currently calls Abbotsford, British Columbia home, he was born in Calgary, Alberta on 12th January, 1983. He is married to Angela (nee) Bensler, who also performs on his debut album.
