Shiri Maimon (Hebrew: ???? ?????; born May 18, 1981) is an Israeli singer and actress, who rose to fame as the runner-up in the TV reality show Kokhav Nolad ("A Star is Born") (the Israeli version of the British Pop Idol), and represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. Biography Maimon was born in Haifa, Israel, and raised in Kiryat Haim. Her mother is Moroccan and her father, Tunisian. She made her debut at the age of ten, at a children's song festival. In 2001, she appeared in a music video of the band Teapacks. Later, she worked for a year and a half as a singer and bartender in Eilat.
