    Sielun Veljet
    Sielun Veljet ("Soul Brothers" or "Brothers of Soul") was a Finnish band, who started in 1983 and split after their 1991 3-CD Musta laatikko. The band's members were Ismo Alanko (vocals, guitar), Jukka Orma (guitar), Jouko Hohko (bass, guitar) and Alf "Affe" Forsman (drums). Alanko and Orma had earlier on played in the popular new wave music band Hassisen Kone. The music of Sielun Veljet was a sort of manic psycho-funk, with extremely intense live shows, as if they had been a more demented, shamanistic and psychedelic Finnish version of Red Hot Chili Peppers, but starting even before RHCP launched their own career. Sielun Veljet is considered a very influential band in Finland's rock scene, having left their mark on many Finnish bands following after them. The Industrial Metal band Turmion Kätilöt recorded a cover of Sielun Veljet's song Volvot Ulvoo Kuun Savuun (translation: Volvos Howl at the Moon) for their Verta Ja Lihaa single. The vocalist Ism
