(also spelled Sindbad; Persian:??????) is a story-cycle of ancient origin about a Persian Sailor from Basrah(then Basra was a Persian city and now it is in modern-day Iraq and then part of Persian Empire(Persia=Iran)), who has numerous fantastic adventures during his voyages throughout the seas east of Africa and south of Asia.
