Special Teamz is a hiphop group made of Boston rappers Edo G (formerly of Edo G & Da Bulldogs), Jaysaun (of Kreators) and Slaine (of La Coka Nostra). Almost unique in hiphop music, all three members have different racial backgrounds: Edo G is black, Jaysaun black/hispanic and Slaine - white. In 2005, the group released a self-titled mixtape cd (mixed by DJ JayCeeOh, who also supports Special Teamz live on stage) and a 12" vinyl single, and then went for a almost two year long search for a record label. Eventually, Special Teamz signed with Duck Down records. They released their debut album "Stereotypez" on released September 25, 2007 on Duck Down Records, with by Pete Rock, DJ Premier, and several up and coming producers from Boston.
