Suburban Legends are a seven piece pop/funk/third wave ska band from Orange County, California. Band History Suburban Legends' music is different from that of other ska bands, taking influence from ska as well as disco, funk, and pop, with more emphasis on the disco/funk sound in recent recordings, with little to no ska sound at all (with the exception of the recently introduced live-only "Girl's Got What I Want"), although the band does regularly perform older material alongside their current work, even adding older songs back into rotation, such as "All the Nights", a song from Rump Shaker that the band began performing again in late 2007 after a few years without being heard. Live shows involve synchronized dance moves performed by horn players (sometimes joined by the lead singer) as well as humorous banter between members.
