Sugarplum Fairy are an alternative-rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. The name, Sugarplum Fairy, comes originally from "dance of the sugarplum fairy" by well known composer Tchaikovsky, although some people still believe it's from the Beatles song called "A Day in the Life" where John Lennon counts in with "sugar-plum-fairy, sugar-plum-fairy". This version of the song is not heard on the album release, but can now be heard on the 1996 release "The Beatles Anthology" which features unheard version of many Beatles songs. Also few years later in Walk on the Wild Side is a line: "Sugar Plum Fairy came and hit the streets..." The band has released several demos before getting contracted in 2004, releasing the EP Stay Young, that received generally positive reviews.
