    Tera Melos is an American math rock band. They were formerly a purely instrumental band because they could not find a singer and "just couldn?t figure out how to compliment the music [LINK: they] [1] were playing with vocals" [LINK: http://regulus2.azstarnet.com/blogs/confirmationhearings/7253/an-awesome-band-to-look-out-for-in-2008-tera-melos] [2] , but with the release of Complex Full of Phantoms, their 2007 split with By The End Of Tonight, guitarist Nick Reinhart started contributing vocals to the music. They play a brand of music characterized by shifting odd time signatures, start-stop dynamics, and numerous effects. Their style is heavily influenced by jazz, post-hardcore, ambient, and electronic music. Two of the members met in a jazz improvisation class in high school.
