The Holy Rollers are a New Zealand rock and roll band formed in 2004.
History The Holy Rollers are a rock and roll band from Hamilton/Cambridge,
New Zealand. In 2002, Jeremy Johnson (guitar), Greg Wallace
(vocals/guitar), Ryan Print (bass), and Matt Waterhouse (drums) formed a
band under the name Ashurst. Jeremy Suisted joined the band in 2004 as a
second guitarist and Greg Wallace focussed on vocals only. They entered and
won the 2004 HM Rage talent quest but all was not well. Sighting creative
differences, Matt Waterhouse decided to leave the band in the fall of 2004
and it was decided that Greg Wallace would move back onto drums and a new
vocalist would be sought.
By the end of 2004 Luke Goodwin had been decided upon as the new vocalist
and by 2005 the band had renamed themselves 'The Holy Rollers'. In August
2005 they recorded their first songs, "Bluesy Suzy", "Lady" and
"Spoonasuga" and relea
