Throes of Dawn is a Dark Metal band from Finland formed in 1994 by Henri
Koivula and Jani Heinola. Initially the band played more in the style of
black metal but during the years the band's style has evolved to dark metal
with psychedelic influences, borrowing the elements of doom metal, dark
wave, gothic rock, Ambient music, and symphonic classical music making a
romantic, melancholic and depressive feel into the music.
Their debut album Pakkasherra was released in 1997, the band has released
5 albums so far.
