tomandandy is a musical ensemble formed in 1989 in New York City by Thomas
Hajdu and Andy Milburn. The pair are best known for their work in film
scores and television commercials.
tomandandy redefined the way in which music for media was created by
appropriating aesthetics of the avant-garde and bringing them into pop
culture. tomandandy received critical acclaim in all media sectors as
creation as well as product design.
tomandandy has also focused on artificial intelligence and content
generation, holding the broad patent (US 6.051.770) "artificial composer"
that is based on a series of groundbreaking musical metrics.
Early years Andy Milburn was born in Texas and went to Princeton
University for undergraduate as well as graduate work. At Princeton, his
primary focus was creating computer music and computer music applications.
