Vampire Rodents was the name of an industrial music and experimental rock band formed in Toronto, Canada. The band was led by singer, guitarist and composer Daniel Vahnke (aka Anton Rathausen) and also included Victor Wulf (keyboards), Andrea Akastia (violin, cello), Jing Laoshu (percussion). The band was well known for their useage of guest musicians on many of their songs. Vahnke has also played in Ether Bunny, Wulf in Dilate. Daniel Vahnke was primarily influenced by classical and avant-garde music. While the band was mainly active during 1990-1996, Vahnke has expressed his desire on his myspace page to restart the group, however there has been nothing new released as of 1996.
