Dreamtrybe, formerly known as Velvet Hammer, is a pagan rock group out of Austin, Texas. It is a collaboration between Lynda Millard and Ginger Doss featuring vocal harmonies, a rock edge and tribal percussion. Both Millard and Doss write songs for the group. Millard provides the guitar and flute, while Doss plays the keyboards. Former member (from the Velvet Hammer days) Dana Davis also wrote songs, sang and played guitar. Lynda's son Tabber Millard is the current drummer for the group. Previous percussionists include Tawney and Nighthawk, who played on the album Come Down and were with the band during the name change from Velvet Hammer to Dreamtrybe.
