Vonray were a modern rock band from Orlando, Florida. The group formed around singer/songwriter Vaughan Rhea, originally from Tennessee, who had come to Orlando playing as an acoustic coffeeshop act.[LINK: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:fcfuxqw0ldfe~T1] Biography, Allmusic.com Inspired by grunge music, Rhea put together a band with his brother, Dave, and began playing harder tunes, soon opening for Third Eye Blind and Seven Mary Three and releasing a debut album as VonRa in 1997. As major-label attention increased, the band scored a slot opening for Creed in summer of 2002, and released an album on Elektra Records in 2003. The band charted a single hit in America in 2003 with the song "Inside Out", which was featured on the TV show Smallville and its soundtrack; it subsequently peaked at #32 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart and at #31 on Billboard's Top 40 Mains
