    Welbilt
    Welbilt is a rock band from the Washington, D.C. area. History Welbilt was formed in early 2002 after members met at the bar TT Reynolds in Fairfax, Virginia. The band's eponymous debut EP (sometimes called the "The Blue Album") was recorded in a basement studio in Bristow. On the strength of that recording, radio station DC101 picked Welbilt to open the 2002 DC101 Chili Cook-Off show on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC in May 2002. That July, the band won a national battle of the bands competition sponsored by the Hard Rock Cafe and Rolling Rock. Welbilt opened the Town Fair show in Latrobe, PA, signed a demo deal with Virgin Records, and recorded four songs with producer Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold).
