Whitfield Crane, (born January 19 1968, Palo Alto, California) was a founding member and the lead singer of the hard rock/metal band, Ugly Kid Joe, which formed in 1989 and disbanded in 1997. Following Ugly Kid Joe's demise, Crane went on a year-long tour with Life of Agony before forming Medication with ex-Machine Head guitarist, Logan Mader. However, due to a series of issues with the band's record label, Medication disbanded in 2002. Crane now sings for Another Animal, a side project formed by Shannon Larkin, Robbie Merill, and Tony Rombola of Godsmack, as well as former Godsmack/Dropbox guitarist Lee Richards. As of 2006, Whitfield lives in Palo Alto, where he was born and raised.
