Will Young (born William Robert Young on 20 January 1979) is an English singer-songwriter and actor. He rose to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural Pop Idol contest. Early life Young was born in Wokingham, Berkshire, with a fraternal twin, Rupert. He also has an older sister, Emma. He was educated at Horris Hill preparatory school and Wellington College.
