Fates Warning is a progressive metal band, formed in 1983 by John Arch, Jim Matheos, Victor Arduini, Joe DiBiase, and Steve Zimmerman in Hartford, Connecticut, U.S. The band directly contributed to the establishment of the progressive metal genre.
